A Frankfort woman is facing felony charges for alleged welfare fraud, according to the Herkimer County Sheriff’s Office.

Brittany Oyer, 26, is charged with third-degree welfare fraud and third-degree grand larceny, both felonies. Deputies say Oyer fraudulently received more than $3,500 worth of benefits that she wasn’t eligible for.

Oyer was processed and arraigned in Little Falls Court, then released on her own recognizance. She’s scheduled to appear in court again at a later date.
