NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. – New York dairy farms will provide more than 4,000 gallons of free milk to residents of Oneida County on Wednesday.
People can pick up the milk at Boscov’s in Sangertown Square from 2 – 6 p.m., or until supplies last.
“Once again the Dairy Farmers of America, American Dairy Association North East and Dean Foods have generously come to the aid of Oneida County,” Picente said. “Just as some of our families are struggling to put food on the table during this pandemic crisis, our local dairy farmers are facing difficult challenges as well. Despite this fact, they are providing our community with these valuable donations and we can’t thank them enough.”
Last week, 4,000 gallons was also distributed throughout county schools and communities from the DPW garage in Oriskany.
Dairy Farmers of America and the American Dairy Association North East have donated more than 100,000 gallons of milk throughout New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware.
