A fugitive wanted on child sex abuse charges in Utica has been arrested by authorities in Illinois.
Police say 40-year-old Michael Rios, of Utica, allegedly had sexual contact with a female under the age of 13 over a period of several months.
Rios waived extradition and was transported back to Oneida County, where he was arraigned on the warrant.
He was sent to the Oneida County Correctional Facility on $50,000 bail.
An order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim, who is also being offered counseling services.
