On Sunday, Governor Cuomo signed legislation that extends the deadline to submit absentee ballots.
For the primaries, he extended the deadline until election day, which is June 23.
To be counted, ballots must be postmarked by the 23rd.
He also extended the deadline for school districts to receive school budget ballots. That election is June 9.
The extension allows school districts to accept ballots by mail through June 16.
Residents who want to hand deliver ballots have until Tuesday, June 9 through 5 p.m.
Previously, the governor signed an executive order allowing New Yorkers to vote absentee.
