The Hope House in Utica held its first community service awards dinner Thursday.
A nice crowd gathered at the brand new Breeze's in Utica to celebrate the many volunteers at Hope House.
It's a soup kitchen that serves meals 2-3 times a day seven days a week.
Utica attorney Mark Wolber was presented with the first "Give them hope" award for his personal commitment to feeding the hungry in our community.
"For me to be able to provide some small contribution to keeping that going makes me feel good," said Wilbor. "The reason I do this is because it makes me feel good to help people out who are maybe having a difficult time and can use some help and can benefit from an organization like Hope House."
