Utica, N.Y. - Hamburg Post needed two wins to dethrone the three-time defending state champion and capture the program's first state title, Wednesday, at Murnane Field. They did just that.

The boys from western New York beat the Rockland Pirates 1-0 and 9-8, the latter coming off a dramatic walk-off as Joseph Roward hit a grounder to second that was bobbled allowing the winning run to score. Hamburg had come into the bottom of the seventh down by one.
