CLINTON N.Y.- College Campuses maybe empty at this time due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, but one local College found a way to show a Virtual Tour Wednesday evening.
Hamilton College in Clinton flew a drone over their campus Wednesday. The goal was to remind students who are away what the campus is looking like at this time. It was streamed live on the College's Facebook page.
Carl Wohnsen, the Event Support Technician for Hamilton College says for the students unable to be on the Hamilton Campus right now, it can be emotional to see the virtual drone tour.
"I'm sure it's a mix of things." Wohnsen said. "I'm sure all the things that a lot of people are feeling they would rather be here. It's probably a little bit sad, the campus isn't even in kind of a full bloom for spring. But we know it's important for them to connect to it, to see it, and to know that obviously so many of us here (are) working to support (the students), and wishing them the best." Wohnsen added.
Over 160 comments and counting about the tour. A perfect evening to do it too, with amazing sunset. A bright spot during these difficult times.
