• Make a grocery list
• Eat healthy proteins and lean meats such as: fish, tofu, eggs.
• Bake and broil foods. Limit fried foods
• Incorporate healthy fats: canola oil, olive oil, whipped butter instead of regular butter
• Whole grains are high in fiber
• Drink plenty of fluids
“Healthy eating,” says Zirilli, “if you eat healthy it coincides with really trying to stay in shape and we're trying to ensure that our immune system is strong. Always eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, eating from the rainbow, because of all the vitamins and minerals and antioxidants. So really focus on more frozen canned are fine all I recommend there is to please rinse them to get the sodium off. Those are great economical ways and you have them on hand.”
She continues emphasize washing your hands as often as you can.
She did recommend that you don't eat out too often but during this time, they do suggest eating out once or twice a week to help support local restaurants.
