ONEONTA, NY – Hartwick College has announced all students and employees will be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 in order to return to campus in the fall of 2021.
The college has set a deadline of August 1 for the vaccines. Anyone who lives, works, or studies on campus will have to comply.
“Vaccination is currently the best weapon we have against the evolving COVID-19 virus, and the best tool we have to reclaim the fully residential experience that is so important to how we educate at Hartwick,” said Margaret Drugovich, Harkwick College president. “Vaccination will be the key to our safe and full return in the fall.”
Hartwick says any vaccine approved by the U.S. FDA will be acceptable. Those who have a medical or religious reason for not getting the vaccine can apply for an exemption.
