UTICA, N.Y. -- As the Mohawk Valley counts down the days until Utica's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade – it's important to keep the food drive in mind that takes place right at the parade.

Non-perishable food items will be collected during this Saturday’s parade.

The collection is done to benefit the Mother Marianne Westside Kitchen.

If you're planning to attend the parade, you're asked to bring a food donation to place in the wheel barrows as they pass by.

Remember to check the expiration date to make sure the item you're donating is still usable.
