July's wet weather followed by cool temperatures the first few days of August have many folks ready to call summer quits. Not just yet! The weather patterns are changing, with a return to heat and humidity expected as we head into the weekend.
High pressure is heading east. This has brought dry weather to our area over the past few days, with sunshine expected to continue into the rest of the work week. As high pressure heads east, winds change into the southwest, allowing much warmer and more humid weather to arrive. Temperatures look to climb into the mid 80s by Friday, with much more humid weather expected this weekend.
A few showers and thunderstorms are possible on Saturday as a warm front arrives. This doesn't look to be a washout. Temperatures climb into the mid 80s on Sunday and near 90 on Monday. The long range patterns look to keep the heat and humidity around as we head into the middle of August.
