A strong weather system will move into the region for the
start of the week. Steady snow, sleet, and freezing rain is
possible. Here's the timeline.
Widespread light snow arrives late Monday morning. It continues
until the evening. Overall a general trace to 2"of snow is
expected.
We will get a break from the snow until Monday night. The second
round of snow arrives tonight, mixing with and changing over to sleet and freezing rain late tonight into early Tuesday morning. Roads conditions will be snow covered and icy. Be careful during your morning commute.
The snow quickly tapers off during the morning. Around 4-8" of snow
is expected in the North Country, 2-4" of snow in the Mohawk
Valley, and Trace - 2" further south into the Southern Valleys. This is
where we will see the most sleet and freezing rain accumulation.
Around 0.10" to 0.25" of ice is expected in the Southern Valleys.
