HERKIMER, N.Y. -- The Herkimer Village Pool is back open after a four-year drought.
The pool had liner and other problems causing its closure.
Senator James Seward got more than $100,000 in state money to fix it.
Thursday, Chamber of Commerce officials and other local leaders joined Seward to cut the ribbon on a summer of fun.
The village pool is open daily 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. for all of Herkimer County – all ages – and it's free to swim.
