Albany, N.Y. - Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul is narrowing her choices for the Lt. Governor spot when she assumes the governor's role on August 24th.
In an interview on CBS’s “Face the Nation” Sunday morning, Hochul said she's narrowed her search to focus on a number candidates from New York City, but didn't say who they were.
However, according to a person familiar with the matter who told the Associated Press, two state senators, Jamaal Bailey of the 36th Senate District and Brian Benjamin of the 30th Senate District, are emerging as top candidates among several being vetted by Hochul and her team.
