UTICA, N.Y. – With the holidays approaching, the Stevens-Swan Humane Society is holding its annual holiday pet photo fundraiser Nov. 16-17 at the American Legion Post 229, 409 Herkimer Rd., Utica.

This fundraiser allows pet owners to have photos taken by a professional photographer in front of a selection of holiday backgrounds. Photos can be of pets alone or with the entire family. John Cittadino will also be dressed as Santa Claus and can join the photos.

Cost for photos are $5 for an e-mailed digital image and $20 for two printed and one digital image, all of the same photo.

There will also be bake sales and raffles at the events, which will be 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.

This year’s event, presented by Staffworks, is in memory of Linda DeGanne, a member of the board of directors who passed away earlier this year. DeGanne founded this fundraising event, and the society hopes to continue the tradition every year in her honor.

Any businesses who would like to sponsor the event by donating money, raffle items, gift certificates or baked goods should contact Chelsea at 315-738-4357. Raffle items are due Nov. 10.

All pets are welcome, but dogs, cats and ferrets must have current rabies vaccines.
