HOLLAND PATENT – Officials with the Holland Patent Central School District say there is “no credible threat” after numerous reports of a possible safety concern have surfaced on social media.
Tuesday evening NewsChannel 2 received several Facebook messages from parents in the school district concerned about rumors of a student making a “hit list” targeting other students.
The school district released a statement Wednesday morning, saying “We have received concerns over rumors about possible threats made to the HS. The Oneida County Sheriff's Office has investigated the matter with the District and determined there is no credible threat. To reassure the community of your safety, we are working with the Sheriff's Office to review this matter. Thank you for your support.”
