UTICA, N.Y - It was graduation day for hundreds of graduates and their families, as Whitesboro High School held their graduation at the Utica Memorial Auditorium on Saturday.

Over two hundred graduates walked in two at a time taking their seats for the beginning of Saturday's ceremony.

Each of the students was allowed to decorate their caps.

Family members including News Channel 2's Joleen Ferris shared some words of advice and feelings now that this day has come.

"I'm so proud of her, she is graduating with honors, she has done a great job I am so excited for her," said Nancy Edic.

"Shes going to do great things, I cant wait. She is going off to Nazareth and I'm very proud, and I'm going to cry," said Tina Smith.

"Keep doing what she is doing, have a heart for others, and help other people when you can, and that hard work pays off," said Joleen Ferris.

The staff at Whitesboro high school said that they couldn't be more proud of their 2019 graduating class.
