ILION, N.Y. -- Valley Family Health Center in Ilion is bigger and better following a recent expansion.
A ribbon cutting Friday celebrated the completion their expansion.
The 1,100 square foot expansion project will allow Valley Family Health to add more services like medical assisted therapy treatments and behavioral health services.
The new space has seven exam rooms, a triage room, lab and more.
The Community Foundation and MVP Healthcare contributed $100,000 toward the project they feel is much needed in Herkimer County.
“We can provide those medical primary care services, we can provide the dental services, up to and including actually dentures. You know we can do that level of treatment on dentures, and then we can also provide mental health services up to a certain point as well,” said Michael Leary, the president and CEO of Valley Family Health Center.
Valley Family Health is in Central Plaza. It's set up to accept all patients, regardless of ability to pay.
