UPDATE: Ilion police reached out to NEWSChannel 2 to say the missing 16-year-old girl has been found, is safe and returned home.
ILION, N.Y. – Ilion police are searching for a missing 16-year-old girl, who was last seen in the village on Jan. 9.
Ifeomma ‘Iffy’ Grace Chukwuonye is 5-feet, 2-inches tall, weighing about 120 pounds. Police say she is biracial with light brown skin and brown eyes.
She has blonde hair with brown roots, and her hair is normally worn in a bun. She also wears braces, and has visible scars on her left ankle and right wrist.
Police say she may be wearing a white puffy jacket with fur trim on the hood, and white Nike low-top sneakers with a blue emblem. She also may be wearing hoop earrings and carrying a brown Coach purse.
Police say Chukwuonye could be in the village of Herkimer.
