COOPERSTOWN – An inmate at the Otsego County Jail is facing a new charge after he allegedly attacked another inmate, according to the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office.
Leroy Holley, 38, of Binghamton, is charged with felony second-degree attempted assault while confined in a correctional facility.
Deputies say the arrest follows an investigation into a reported altercation between two inmates at the Otsego County Jail. Deputies say Holley allegedly struck another inmate during an altercation and caused minor injuries.
Holley was arraigned in the Town of Otsego Court and sent back to the Otsego County Jail on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond. He’s scheduled to appear in the Town of Middlefield Court on July 2.
