UTICA, N.Y. -- The investigation continues into the shooting that injured a woman, and child in Utica last week.

The shooting happened on the 1500 block of Dudley Avenue Friday night.

Police say they have injuries not considered to be life-threatening.

The two are not believed to have been the target of this shooting.

“They're both active investigations and we remain hopeful we'll be able to make an arrest on both,” said Utica Police Chief Mark Williams. “It starts with the victim. most times the victim knows who is responsible for shooting them. getting their cooperation can certainly be a challenge.”

If you have information on either shooting, call UPD at 315-223-3510.
