FRANKFORT, NY – Irish eyes were certainly smiling on day 2 of the 16th annual Great American Irish Festival Saturday.
Thousands of people got the chance to celebrate their Irish heritage, or at least be Irish for the next few days.

Whether it was watching the bagpipe competition, enjoying a wide variety of Irish music, or taking in the Highlander Games, festival co-director Jeff Ball says there was enough Irish to go around for everybody.
“Utica has quite a rich Irish culture, and this is our opportunity to share that with everybody. So I think it’s a great thing to open people up to how others celebrate their culture and heritage.”
The Great American Irish Festival concludes Sunday afternoon and will feature a traditional Irish Mass at 10 am.
