HERKIMER, NY – It’s never too early to get into the Christmas spirit, and what better way to do that than to help out those in need.
WKTV and Roser Communications kicked off their annual Stuff the Bus toy drive Saturday at Wakefield Furniture in Herkimer.
All you need to do to help out is to bring a brand new unwrapped toy to wherever the bus is located and stuff if with toys for local families struggling to have a merry Christmas.
KISS FM’s Roscoe Red says since the campaign started in 2008, over 100,000 toys have been collected.
“We have 30 to 40 charities every year that sign on to bag the toys, and they distribute them to the kids they help. Just the reaction from the charities every year is what makes it worth it. They’re so happy they can help the kids.”
All of the toys that are collected are distributed locally to families in the Mohawk Valley.
