UTICA, N.Y. -- Utica Police announced that the suspect in the Cleastore Jefferson homicide has turned himself in.
Justin Peak, who was wanted in connection to the July 21st homicide, turned himself in to Utica Police Headquarters on Wednesday.
Peak is charged with second degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
The Utica Police Department said this investigation was a team effort extending to the Mayor’s Office and many different divisions within the Police Department.
Utica Police would thank the family and attorney of Mr. Peak for assisting us with the peaceful apprehension. Non-traditional methods and cooperation can be the building blocks of Police/Community relations.
