KIRKLAND – The Kirkland Police Chief Dan English has retired from the force after serving the community in that post for 23 years.
English has been in law enforcement for 41 years, and he says he’s had a wonderful career. Looking back, he says the past four decade went by in the blink of an eye.
“There’s been a lot of good times and there’s been a lot of tragedies in town, but we’ve all stuck together and gone through it and made it out to the positive side…” said English.
On Thursday, he left the Kirkland Police Department for the last time to a final salute from his officers.
He will begin his new job at UCP on Monday, Sept. 23.
