Oneida County officials have been watching a situation in Montgomery County for some time now, suspecting that it might affect their county's coronavirus numbers. And it has. Oneida County is reporting 36 new, known cases of the virus. Twenty-five are employees of an aluminum manufacturing plant, in Montgomery County, but who live in Oneida County. Oneida County leaders plan to have a live briefing Monday at 3pm. They say this situation could continue to affect Oneida County's numbers in the near future.
There are currently 299 active cases in Oneida County. Fifteen patients are hospitalized in the county; two, outside the county. One of the new cases is a nursing home patient.
In Herkimer County, they're reporting two new positive cases. There are currently 30 active cases and one person hospitalized.
No new cases in Otsego County. They currently have two active cases; 76, overall.
