UTICA, N.Y. - Several members of local law enforcement waited tables at Applebee's in North Utica to raise money for the Special Olympics.
This is an annual event that is held all across the state.
It's a fundraiser that benefits the Special Olympics of Central New York and raises awareness for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
"It's nice to come out and wait on the people of the community," Captain Charles Kelly with the Utica Police Department said. "Being with the Special Olympians is just beyond words, how appreciative we are for all the people that donate."
If you missed the event, you can still donate here.
