UTICA, N.Y. -- There is new information that will impact residents living in the Olbiston Apartments in Utica.
The damage from a leaky roof is so bad at the Olbiston – the city has ordered all residents in the fourth and fifth floors to either move out or be moved into a vacant apartment on a lower floor.
An Oneida County Emergency Services trailer is parked outside and will be for the foreseeable future.
County emergency services personnel are on hand to help residents in any way they can.
“I hope that this is remedied sooner rather than later, these folks can’t live like this so we're doing everything we can to help, whether it's the city, the residents, we just want this resolved sooner rather than later,” said Oneida County Emergency Services Coordinator Kevin Revere.
If you are a resident of the Olbiston apartments and need assistance, you are asked to make your way down to the emergency services vehicle.
