UTICA- A traffic light fell in the road at the intersection of Champlin Ave, Burrstone Road, and French road near Friendly's.
Officials with the New York State Department of Transportation said that intersection will be what is considered a "blacked out" intersection which means the traffic lights won't be in operation.
Currently, there are people directing traffic, and drivers are only allowed to turn right. Officials are urging people to avoid the area.
Crews are currently working to fix the lights. Officials with State DOT said, the lights will be out Saturday night into Sunday afternoon for repairs and are urging travellers to be careful through that area.
