LITTLE FALLS, NY - Residents of Little Falls and the surrounding area gathered at the Rotary Park in the Little Falls Marina Saturday, for a brief ceremony before heading out on a remembrance walk to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the September 11th attacks on America.
Community members, first responders, veterans, even those too young to understand what happened that day all took part. No matter what the reason, for many it's a day they'll never forget.
"I was working that morning and I got a call from my friend's mother,” said Little Falls resident Marchell Scarano. “My friend was in the south tower and her mother called me to tell me that she made it out of the building and was ok, but still involved”.
After the brief walk, participants were able to view the New York State Police Wall of Honor that recognizes troopers who've lost their lives in the line of duty.
