UTICA -- A minivan crashed through the front windows and wall of a Fastrac gas station in South Utica.

According to Utica police, an elderly woman was behind the wheel. They say she likely mistook the gas pedal for the brake.

No one in the store was hurt.

Utica police said the woman was taken to the hospital for minor back pain.

The Fastrac, on the corner of Genesee Street and Shephard Place, is back open, but was closed until about 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
