WHITESBORO - A local Subway manager is helping to raise funds for the family impacted by last week’s fatal house fire in Yorkville.
Until 9 p.m. Friday, 10 percent of all sales at the Subway restaurant on Oriskany Boulevard in Whitesboro will go directly to the Mishlanie family. Heather Mishlanie, 41, and her daughter, 6-year-old Taylor Mishlanie, died from injuries sustained in a fire at their home on Campbell Avenue in Yorkville Jan. 18.
Any amount of money can also be donated at one of the collection boxes at the register.
Kayla Countryman, who manages the restaurant, got approval from the store’s owner to help donate to the cause. Her fiancé, Joseph, is Heather’s brother and Taylor’s uncle, and both wanted to help in any way that they could after such a terrible tragedy.
