RICHFIELD SPRINGS, N.Y. – Local artist Tim Welch will be at the Richfield Springs Public Library on Saturday, Feb. 29, to showcase his paintings and sign his book, ‘Pictures From Parkinson’s.’
Welch has Parkinson’s disease, and started painting four years ago when his diagnosis ended his career as a chef.
He went back to school for special education and works as a substitute teacher at Mount Markham.
The event will take place from noon to 2 p.m.
Books will be on sale for $15 each, and a portion of the proceeds will go toward Parkinson’s research.
The library is located at 102 W. Main St. in Richfield Springs.
