If you’re looking to celebrate Labor Day weekend with a bang, there are a couple places you can go to see fireworks this weekend, along with other events that include live entertainment, food, and more.

LAKE DELTA

The annual Ring of Lights Celebration will be held Sunday on Lake Delta. The celebration will begin with the lighting of flares, bonfires and tiki torches at 8:30 p.m., and it will be followed by a fireworks display at 9 p.m.

The flares, bonfires, etc. will be lit by property owners around the lake, creating the “Ring of Likes” along the lake shore.

The rain date for the fireworks display will be on Monday.

OLD FORGE

Labor Day celebrations in Old Forge will kick off Sunday with the CAP-PY Duck Derby at the Old Forge Visitor Information Center and Adirondack Bank. Ducks will launch from the Old Forge Dam at noon.

There will also be a car raffle on Sunday, along with live entertainment by The Paul Case Band at 7 p.m. Fireworks will be held over the pond to end the night.

ONEONTA

The 10th annual Susquehanna Balloon Festival is being held this weekend in Neahwa Park in Oneonta.

On Saturday, the schedule of events includes a balloon launch, live entertainment, a magic show, and fireworks to end the night at 9:15 p.m.
