Local organization handing out free book bags, school supplies

The Muslim Community Association of the Mohawk Valley is giving away free bookbags to local students on Tuesday.

UTICA, N.Y. – The Muslim Community Association of the Mohawk Valley is giving away free book bags to local students on Tuesday.

The event will begin at 4 p.m. at Hanna Park, outside of Utica City Hall.

Kids will receive backpacks and school supplies.

Anyone attending is asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
