UTICA, N.Y. - Ty's Kitchen in Utica is providing kids in the community with free lunches all summer.
Tyrone Frazier owns the restaurant, which is located at 1012 Columbia Street.
Tiera Boyd, a volunteer, says she is happy to help Frazier give back to the community.
“It’s important that we give back to the community because right now we’re going through a hard time," Boyd said. "If we can help in anyway by giving free hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, and juice once a day, it makes us feel good at the end of the day."
The community has been donating juice, cereal, milk, water, etc. to help Ty's Kitchen.
Boyd has also been delivering the lunches to the kids in the community.
Frazier plans to do this all summer long, Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
