SYLVAN BEACH, N.Y. – While Sylvan Beach Amusement Park will not be opening this summer, Carello’s Carousel Arcade is still planning to welcome visitors as soon as the state gives the green light.
Carello’s is located inside the midway, but is owned separately from the amusement park.
The popular Sylvan Beach attraction features the main carousel, as well as Skee-ball, claw machines and photo booths.
The arcade will implement new safety measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus, including enforcing social distancing and monitoring employee health. The games and rides will also be frequently sanitized, according to the owners.
Sylvan Beach Amusement Park officials announced the decision to stay closed this year on June 21 via Facebook.
