UTICA, N.Y. -- MVHS is releasing more restrictions to help better protect patients, medical staff and employees during the coronavirus crisis.
Here are the new rules:
For the medical group offices, a maximum of one visitor per patient will be permitted at any one time. This visitor should be a primary caregiver (i.e. parents/guardians, adult caregivers, etc.). Children 14 and under are prohibited from entering these locations, unless the appointment is for a child.
For the laboratory locations, a maximum of one visitor per patient will permitted at any one time. It is recommended for patients to use lab locations outside of the main hospital campuses. Here is a link to all lab locations: https://mvhealthsystem.org/locations?type=lab.
For the dialysis sites, those bringing patients to appointments are asked not to wait in the facility or waiting rooms while the patient receives treatment. Instead, the dialysis staff will call for the patient’s ride when the treatment is nearly complete.
Visitor restrictions are also in place at the Faxton Campus. This includes a maximum of one visitor per patient will be permitted at any one time. Children age 14 and under are prohibited from visiting.
Additionally, entrances at the Faxton Campus will be restricted beginning Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Patients should use the Medical Imaging and Cancer Center entrances. All others will be closed. Patient parking is available in lots A, F, D and the Cancer Center lot.
MVHS asks that you do not visit if you feel ill. Please stay home and delay your visit to keep yourself, the patients and staff safe.
