WAMPSVILLE, N.Y. -- Due to changes in state voting laws, the Madison County Department of Motor Vehicles, in Wampsville, will be closed on Primary Day.
The reason is New York amended the paid voting leave law, to give workers in the state up to three hours of paid time off to go and vote.
The DMV is closing to let workers vote.
This is just Madison county. Oneida County, Herkimer County and Otsego County DMV offices will be open.
Primary Day is June 25.
