Madison County releases several potential exposure locations in Oneida, Canastota

The Madison County Health Department has released several locations where the public could have potentially been exposed to coronavirus.

WAMPSVILLE, N.Y. – The Madison County Health Department has released several locations where the public could have potentially been exposed to coronavirus.

People who were at the following locations should monitor themselves for symptoms and contact their primary care doctor if symptoms appear.

Walmart at 2024 Genesee St., Oneida

  • April 25, 2020 from 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
  • April 28, 2020 from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.; and 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
  • April 29, 2020 from 3 p.m. - 4 p.m.
  • April 30, 2020 from 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
  • May 1, 2020 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.
  • May 2, 2020 from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.; and 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
  • May 3, 2020 from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.

“After conducting multiple investigations with individuals who have tested positive, it was determined that some of them visited several locations in the past two weeks,” said Madison County Public Health Director Eric Faisst. “Anyone who visited the store during the identified time frame should monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19 for the next two weeks. Those symptoms include fever, cough, and/or difficulty breathing. If symptoms develop, please stay home and contact your doctor for guidance on testing. In an emergency please call 911.”

Faisst reminds residents to wear a facemask when in in public, and to avoid going out unless it is essential.
