OLD FORGE, N.Y. – A Syracuse man was arrested in the town of Webb after allegedly driving drunk with children in his vehicle.
Town of Webb police were called to Pawnee Drive for a domestic dispute on Monday. Upon arriving to the home, officers learned 42-year-old John M. Landry had left the scene of the incident traveling south on Route 28.
Officers found Landry at a Fastrac on Route 28 shortly after, where they determined he was intoxicated and had been driving with two children, ages 11 and 13, in his vehicle.
Landry was arrested and charged with:
- Driving while intoxicated;
- Driving while intoxicated with a BAC greater than .08%;
- Aggravated driving while intoxicated with children in the car, under Leandra’s Law; and
- Two counts of act in a manner to injure a child under 17.
He is not facing any charges related to the initial domestic incident.
Landry was issued appearance tickets and released. He is due back in court on Sept. 2.
