UTICA, N.Y. -- The man accused of killing his grandmother and her elderly landlord pleaded not guilty.
The double homicide happened at a duplex on Tilden Avenue home back in January.
Naythen Aubain, 29, was brought in from a facility run by the Office of Mental Health in Oneida County Court, and was arraigned in front on Judge Robert Bauer.
He is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, along with first-degree attempted murder, criminal mischief, and overdriving, torturing, and injuring animals.
The case is adjourned for one year as Aubain is incompetent to stand trial.
