OTEGO, N.Y. – An Ithaca man was arrested during a traffic stop in Otego on Aug. 12, after New York State Police say they found drugs and two illegal hand guns in the vehicle.
Troopers stopped the vehicle on I-88 around 3 p.m., for a traffic infraction. The troopers smelled marijuana, which prompted further investigation.
After interviewing the four people in the vehicle, troopers found that one of the passengers, 21-year-old Jordan T. Pratt, had two illegal, loaded handguns and drugs in his possession.
Pratt is facing felony charges, including two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both for possession and intent to sell.
The three others in the vehicle, who were all minors, were not charged.
Pratt was arraigned virtually, and sent to the Otsego County jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
