WORCESTER, N.Y. – A man was arrested after New York State Police say he was driving recklessly on I-88 in the town of Worcester Monday.
According to police, 23-year-old David N. Arthur, of Corona, was speeding through a work zone heading eastbound on I-88. When a trooper attempted to pull him over, he wouldn’t stop and got off on Exit 19. Police say Arthur failed to yield at the intersection with Hollenbeck Road and went airborne before striking a guard rail and landing back on I-88 in the eastbound direction. Arthur eventually lost control of the vehicle on the grass, and was arrested by police.
Arthur is charged with unlawfully fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle and reckless driving.
No injuries were reported following the incident.
Arthur was issued appearance tickets and released. He is due back in court May 25.
