Utica, N.Y. (UPDATE) -- Utica Police are actively searching for the person(s) who shot a man multiple times in the upper torso late Monday night.
Police were called to the 900 block of Elizabeth Street, in Utica, around 9pm Monday.

They arrived to find a man with several gunshot wounds to the upper torso.
At the time, Utica Police say he was conscious and breathing. He was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment. As of Tuesday morning, Utica Police say the man remains in critical-but-stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.

Utica, N.Y. - Utica Police responded to the report of several shots fired at 926 Elizabeth Street in Utica, with possibly one victim that was shot around 9:00 P.M. Monday evening.
Utica police arrived and confirmed one male had been shot multiple times. Polcie say he was rushed to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica and is in critical but stable condition.
No word on whether the man was shot inside the home or outside. Also no word tonight on descriptions of a suspect or suspects police are looking for.
