REMSEN, N.Y. – A man was seriously injured after crashing his motorcycle on Route 12 in Remsen Tuesday afternoon.
Police say 55-year-old Frederick D. Mills, of Hinckley, was ejected from his motorcycle, after veering off of the road and hitting the median guard rail near Dustin Road around 2 p.m.
Mills was treated by EMS at the scene and then airlifted by Mercy Flight to a Syracuse hospital.
A stretch of Route 12 was closed for three hours while crews cleared the scene. The road has since reopened.
