UTICA, N.Y. -- More than 50 restaurants are part of restaurant week in Utica starting Friday.
Utica Restaurant Week is being held from June 7 to June 15.
It's a chance for restaurants to offer specials and either get new customers in the door, or get return customers to try something new.
Regina Bonacci from the downtown utica development association says they are reaching more and more people every year.
“I got an email in February from people in Seattle, Washington wanting to know when restaurant week was, they wanted to plan their annual vacation around it. So, I think we are reaching a lot more people than we expected,” said Regina Bonacci, with the Downtown Utica Development Association.
Restaurants are offering breakfast and lunch specials, as well as three-course dinner specials at great prices for nine days. It is a chance for patrons to explore a new place or to rediscover an old favorite, and to celebrate what Utica is known best for – the food.
