TAMPA, Fla. -- Delilah Wallenda, of the famed tightrope-walking Wallenda family, took her last walk in Florida Thursday.
The 67-year-old performed her final high wire walk with her son, Nik Wallenda, at the Hard Rock Hotel in Tampa, Fla. They were 150 feet in the air during the performance.
Delilah, the matriarch of the family, recently had back and hip replacement surgery, which lead to her retirement.
The Wallenda family often performed at Enchanted Forest in Old Forge, N.Y.
