CEDARVILLE, N.Y. -- A memorial scholarship is set up in memory of the 12-year-old girl from Whitesboro who died in an ATV crash on Sunday, May 24.
The Alivia Paige Moylan Memorial Scholarship will be given annually to a least one graduating senior from Whitesboro Central School District. It will go to a student going to college who is majoring in the field of healthcare, including veterinary health.
The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. Sunday in a field off Jones Road, in Cedarville.
Kyra Treen, 12, was airlifted to a Syracuse hospital with internal injuries. State police say the two were on one ATV and struck a utility pole. They were wearing helmets.
