NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. -- Mia's place hosted a Fall Family Fun Day Saturday afternoon.
Mia's Place, a multi-sensory recreation center for children with or without development disabilities, hosted their first annual fall family fun day.
Children were able to get face paintings, paint mini pumpkins, participate in kids yoga and create lots of arts and crafts.
Dana Dinigro, the founder of Mia's Place, says that she wanted something for all children, especially for her daughter who has autism, to have access to and be able to feel welcome.
"I created and founded Mia's Place simply because there was nothing like this in the community for my daughter. Having some place to go that is a little bit more low key, very safe, clean and not over simulating for her is very important. We wanted to make sure that these kiddos had some place to go and play" says Dinigro.
Mia's Place offers private reservations for open play, yoga classes, open gym night and circle time.
